• Privacy-friendly statistics. We may count page views with a self-hosted analytics tool that does not use advertising cookies. We use the totals to see which guides are useful.

We do not run user accounts, we do not take payments, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Cookies

The site works without cookies. If a cookie is set, it is a strictly necessary one. If we ever add advertising that uses cookies, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Third-party content

Some pages link to other websites, such as government tourism pages or Wikipedia, and fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts. Those services have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and then deleted, normally within 12 months. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it, by writing through the contact page. We will reply within a reasonable time.
