Oxygen City Park, often simply called Kota City Park, is the green heart of the modern city, a sprawling, beautifully landscaped park designed as a literal oxygen-generating lung for Kota. Spread over a huge area, it packs in dense plantations, jogging and cycling trails, water bodies, themed gardens and an array of artistic sculptures and installations.

History of Oxygen City Park (Kota City Park)

Oxygen City Park was developed in recent years as part of Kota's large-scale urban greening and beautification programme, driven by the city's push to add world-class public infrastructure.

It was planned specifically as an ecological asset, densely planted to improve the city's air quality, hence the name, while also serving as a major recreational destination.

Along with the Chambal Riverfront, it is one of the marquee projects that has reshaped Kota's public face in the 2020s.

There is no ancient tale attached, but locals fondly call it the city's own set of lungs, and say that an evening walk here is the closest thing Kota has to a daily dose of the hills.
