10-Day Itinerary

10 Days in Kota & Hadoti — The Grand Slow-Travel Tour

The definitive deep dive into Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, Bhainsrorgarh and the Chambal country.

👥 Best for: Slow travellers, heritage enthusiasts and photographers

Ten days lets you travel Hadoti the way it deserves — slowly, with room for the region's quieter treasures and repeat mornings on the Chambal. You'll see every major town, several off-beat temples and forts, and still have time for craft villages, wildlife and long lazy meals.

This is the itinerary for travellers who want depth over checklists: multiple overnights across Bundi, Jhalawar and the riverside heritage fort of Bhainsrorgarh, plus buffer days to wander markets and revisit favourite spots.

💡 Travel Tips

  • Ten days means covering ground — book a car with a driver for the whole trip.
  • Spread your overnights (Bundi, Jhalawar, optionally Bhainsrorgarh) to minimise long daily drives.
  • Bhainsrorgarh Fort is a heritage hotel — book well ahead if you want to stay the night.
  • Reserve Mukundara Hills safari permits a few days in advance.
  • Many temple and fort sites are remote; carry water, snacks, cash and a torch.
  • Hire local guides at the major temples to fully appreciate the sculpture and history.
  • The ideal season is October to March; skip the extreme heat of May and June.
